Welcome to Pimp My Batmobile!

*Updated June 2016:

Pimp My Batmobile!  was initially launched to offer tips, and info for customizing the 1966 TV Batmobile. In 2008 Mattel released the first mass-marketed 1966 Batmobile replica/toy in almost 30 years. The 1:18 scale diecast model’s long list of  charming flaws, omissions, and shortcomings quickly presented a new frontier to “kit-bashing” modelers.

To the delight of collectors, and the dismay of their wallets, the success of the Hot Wheels Batmobile line launched a wave of  Batmobile licensing that crested with the arrival of a Holy Grail to customizers and accuracy nuts – the 2011 release of Polar Lights/Round 2’s plastic 1:25 scale Batmobile model kits.

Pimp My Batmobile! has evolved into a showcase community of Batmobile (and related material) modelers, artists, collectors, and enthusiasts who create and share handmade upgrade parts, modeling techniques and artwork.

Please feel free to contribute by commenting on the articles and joining the discussions on our Facebook http://trueviagraonline.com page . We welcome article submissions and tips by guest authors. If you’d like to be a regular contributor – please let us know.

PMB! would like to give a well-deserved shout-out to  Doug, Andy, Steve, Mit, Alex, Kevin, Joe Kelly and Mark Racop, and Tim, whose support and contributions have been integral.
