Not trying to tear apart, but give honest review so far.

It looks like some things have been added to this finished model, which may not be part of the kit. Interior details like the metal rings around the rear speakers are jewelry jump rings, but have not been soldered to together to eliminate the gap, hopefully these could be p/e pieces in the kit. The light in the top of the center console looks much better in the raw resin, because it is now flush with the center console, and appears to have vertical ribs rather than the proper horizontal ribs if the resin master photos (maybe either p/e material or plastic have been added over the top of the resin mastter’s detailing). The D-scope now has toggle switch (not on resin master) which has some sort of over flow on to the scope trim ring. Also, you can easy see a puddle flowing glue in the center of the scope area not shown in the resin master photos. The “Antenna Activator” knob is way too large. The both triangular topped center console switches should be running down center of console. I’m not an antler expert, but the look punched out, and way too flat, sharp edged, and uncontoured. Also, the lenses for the top of the antlers look like a transparent piece, but you can see the square base from the antler through the lenses, making the lenses from the top look odd (could try just painting over with a transparent red). Last, the top portions of the canopies seemed to have been altered (smoothed down)a lot from the photos of the resin master, apparently to allow for use of BareMetal foil or something similar.

The beacon looks good, as do the seat belts (some may just paint the belt material black or red, and not make the original pink/black).

I’m not sure who built this particular model, but either the master is being changed from the photos of the resin master, or the builder has taken some liberties to try to enhance the early patterns.

FOB, I agree with all your qualitative assessments. Keep in mind what I said earlier: AS FAR AS WE ARE AWARE these photos did NOT come to us from ANY professional toy or model company. I promise to fill in the gaps shortly. I think right about the time we launch the sale will be about right. So a couple more days of fun speculation are completely in order. There IS a purpose behind me posting these shots. :)

The Revell Futura seats are a nice touch…but there is a whole lot off about this model. I can also say nice paint job…but that’s about it. Maybe i’ve become too cynical and perfection minded.

Interesting photos. Looks like some of my old 1/25 photoetch set was incorporated, I wonder where they got the artwork from, hmmmmmm …

They didn’t bother to fold the seat belt buckle to make the correct shape.

Nah, Andy, it’s not just you. I’ve been getting about 5 PM’s and emails a day from loads of people that thought the same thing. And I’ll take the heat for being purposely misleading and vague. Hopefully, my playful rationale that I explain in my most recent post will lower everyone’s irritation with me a bit. :)

@FOB, now that I’ve revealed what this is (or more importantly what it isn’t)I can address some of your detail nitpicks. Everything you mention was handcrafted by Jim Apitz as the parts that came with the garage kits were almost always useless. We bought them pretty much for their bodies only back then. I agree with most of what you point out here. Keep in mind, this is a smaller scale than 1:18 and this was almost a decade ago. Way before we all had 3D printers, CNC machines and CAD software in our hobby workshops. :)
