Nope. Not Joan Collins this time. Just got in a very limited, exclusive run of the fantastic new all-aluminum, CAD-machined Sirens/Beacons for the 1:18 Hot Wheels Batmobile straight form Australia. After a first run was discarded for being a bit undersized, Mit and his team in Oz have produced a masterpiece. We now have three beacons for you to choose form in the Products section:

  1. Solid resin economy version
  2. 3-piece hollowed resin cage and clear red lens insert version that you assemble and paint silver (shown below, right)
  3. Completed ALUMINUM and clear red lens unit (shown below, left)

These are the best, most accurate 1st season 1966 Batmobile sirens I’ve ever seen and having them in metal is a bonus. Easily lit if desired.

    Hey Scot,
    Outstanding work, fantastic detail!
How exactly do these new sirens mount to the arch?
Is there a mounting base (black disc) that we need to fabricate,
is there one included with the siren, or can we use the base that is already on the HW’s existing arch?
    Cheers,
    Bob

    John,

Possibly. Alex is out of the country and only he has the rollbar access. I have his antlers but no rollbars to put them with! We have our “last” set of this line of replacement parts coming out in the spring and hopefully his parts will be among those.

    Bob,

It depends on which Rollbar you’re using. Alex’s (and perhaps Mit’s too I haven’t seen his yet) have a mounting base disc with them. The Hot Wheels original one doesn’t really have one to speak of. But you can make one or even use it without the base very easily if you’re trying to keep the original. (I don’t know why you would because it’s so inaccurate) They would just glue down to the arch. If you are lighting from underneath you would just have to widen the hole first.

When can we order parts from website? I’ve been trying for weeks, was last told paypal was not working….nearly giving up at this stage..8-(

  • admin says:

Not sure who told you that or what they meant but I’ve never told anyone that PayPal just wasn’t working. Parts have been orderable from this website since march 2008. The products page is marked pretty well above in both the main nav and in sidebar and also there’s a huge ORDER HERE link directly in the article you just commented on.

As failsafe, here’s the link to the page.

All domestic orders are automatic. If you’re overseas, just email with what you want and wait for an invoice.

    Hi
Thanks for the reply. When I originally inquired about parts I was told to hold off as more were coming.
Then I was told the Paypal had to be sorted for overseas customers as quoted:

“I am trying to work up a method to take PayPal for overseas orders if you’re interested. i should know shortly.

    Scot”

I heard nothing after that. So is my best bet to add to cart the parts I’m interested in and then wait on a paypal invoice? Cheers! Great work by the way..

Overseas orders simply email me exactly what you want and I’ll send an invoice. Thanks Shane.
